Similarly, even without having avahi/umdns handle the
advertisements, just looking at printers/scanners on the network
shows very different results

umdns browse:
	"_scanner._tcp": {
		"HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw (BC9380)": {

		},
		"Officejet Pro 8500 A909g [985C10]": {
			"txt": "txtvers=1",
			"txt": "ty=Officejet Pro 8500 A909g",
			"txt": "mfg=HP",
			"txt": "mdl=Officejet Pro 8500 A909g",
			"txt": "adminurl=http:\/\/dhcppc4.local.",
			"txt": "button=T",
			"txt": "flatbed=T",
			"txt": "feeder=T"
		}
	},

avahi-browse:

= enp0s25 IPv6 HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw (BC9380)        _scanner._tcp        local
   hostname = [NPIBC9380.local]
   address = [192.168.1.121]
   port = [8289]
   txt = ["note=" "flatbed=T" "feeder=T" "button=T" "usb_MDL=HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw" "usb_MFG=Hewlett-Packard" "mdl=MFP M477fdw" "mfg=Hewlett Packard" "ty=HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw" "adminurl=http://NPIBC9380.local." "txtvers=1" "UUID=564e4238-4a37-3935-574a-ec8eb5bc9380"]

= enp0s25 IPv6 Officejet Pro 8500 A909g [985C10]             _scanner._tcp        local
   hostname = [dhcppc4.local]
   address = [192.168.1.126]
   port = [9500]
   txt = ["feeder=T" "flatbed=T" "button=T" "adminurl=http://dhcppc4.local." "mdl=Officejet Pro 8500 A909g" "mfg=HP" "ty=Officejet Pro 8500 A909g" "txtvers=1"]
