Intention on moving board-2 blob to a separate repo

Hi,
there is an idea of moving board-2 blob to a separate repo.

It seems ath10k chance of getting board-2 blob merged upstream is becoming
almost impossible. Result is that the board-2 blob number is growing and some
are complaining that these are bloating openwrt repo.

As said in the intro, there is this idea of moving each board-2 blob
to a separate
repo and providing them by downloading the board file directly from the separate
repo.

Anyone against this?
Things still needs to be defined but would be good to have some feedback.
