These kinds of device modifications isn't the topic discussed here.
OpenWrt never accepts device supports that requires any hardware
modifications and supports for modified routers usually stays in
third-party repositories.
Several ar71xx images works on modified TP-LINK routers because:
1. ar71xx has the ability to auto-detect memory and flash size for
TP-LINK partition table.
2. TP-LINK sells different products inside China and some routers
happens to have a similar board design (except flash/ram) as products
they sells worldwide.>
